Behind the Blooms: Meet The Nature of Things Fine Flowers
At The Nature of Things Fine Flowers, we rarely step out from behind the scenes—our philosophy has always been to let our flowers do the talking. Since 2011, we’ve poured our hearts into designing ethereal, garden-inspired floral arrangements for weddings, elopements, and life’s most cherished gatherings. From Southern California weddings to intimate celebrations and destination elopements, it has been our joy to bring beauty, color, and natural romance to each event.
But today, we wanted to pause and reintroduce ourselves. Whether you’ve followed along since the very beginning, joined us somewhere in the middle, or are brand new to our little floral family, we are so grateful for your support.
A Mother-Daughter Duo Creating Together
We’ve always been like two peas in a pod. What started as a shared love for flowers and design grew into a thriving floral studio built on creativity, connection, and artistry. Together, as mother and daughter, we’ve had the privilege of crafting bridal bouquets, wedding ceremony installations, floral centerpieces, and dreamy event flowers for countless couples and families across California.
These years of designing together have been nothing short of magical. Every wedding, every elopement, every milestone event has given us the chance to not only create beauty, but also to witness the love and joy that flowers bring to life’s most meaningful moments.
Meet Mandy
On her down days, Mandy loves surrounding herself with people and passions that inspire her. You’ll often find her spending time with close friends, gathering with family, cooking up something delicious, or curled up with her two cats and sweet pup, Mabel. When she’s not working on weddings, she enjoys unwinding with a period film or cheering on her favorite women’s sports teams.
Meet Dawn
Dawn finds inspiration in the simple and beautiful details of everyday life. She enjoys sharing time with family and friends, tending to her lush garden at The Abbey at Evergreen, reading, and exploring Southern California with her beloved Basset Hound, Cooper. Her floral design style is deeply rooted in nature and continually evolving as she refines her craft. Like Mandy, she never misses a good period film or a thoughtful documentary.

From romantic destination weddings on the California coast to intimate backyard gatherings in Riverside, our mission remains the same: to design flowers that feel timeless, natural, and full of heart.

Dawn, the founder and creative director, brings over 25 years of floral design expertise, while Mandy manages logistics, staff, quality control, budgeting, and contributes to design. Together, they co-own the business, blending creativity with business acumen to deliver high-quality, one-of-a-kind floral designs. Since its founding in August 2011, The Nature of Things has thrived under their leadership, providing exceptional floral arrangements for weddings, events, and local deliveries, all while maintaining a personal, family-driven approach.
